Using cardboard and other recycled materials, your kids will have the opportunity to make arcade games or whatever tickles their fancy.
This is our most popular program. Participants will make a foosball game and any other games they desire such as a claw machine, basketball shooting, skee ball, kerplunk, and so much more. The only limitation is creativity.
Drop off time:
Full day: 8.30am
Half day morning: 8.30am
Half day afternoon: 1.00pm
Pick up time:
Full Day: 4.00pm (standard day) or 6pm (extended day)

30 June 2021 – Maker Makey (Operation)
Give your kids the opportunity to design, make and code their personal version of the classic Operation electronic board game on any ‘patient’ they want.
No previous coding experience required.
Participants will design, make and code their own Operation game using a range of equipment and recycled materials. Once all Operation games have been made, everyone will have the chance to test their medical skills operating on each other’s game characters.
Please note that your child will be able to take their Operation game home without the electrical components (which can be purchased separately).

1 July – Maker Fidget (Infinity Flextangle)
Fidget toys are all the rage.
Give your kids the opportunity to make their own fidget toy (And learn some incidental maths at the same time… shh… don’t tell them!). An Infinity Flextangle. Infinity Flextangles are the coolest paper puzzles to make and play.
Participants will make an infinity flextangle out of paper and glue. A flextangle is a combination of a hexaflexagon and a zentangle design. Flexagons are flat models-paper polygons, constructed by folding strips of paper. They can be flexed or folded in certain ways to reveal the multiple faces.

Make (safe) electrical circuit games using conductive and insulating play dough.
Participants will design and make their own squishy circuits such as a soccer goal game or an octopus with glowing eyes as they learn the basics of electrical circuits.
Please note that your child will not be able to take their Play Doh game home. Electrical components may be purchased separately.

8 July – Maker Music (Electric Guitar)
Give your kids the opportunity to make and code a cardboard electric guitar or fruit piano or any other musical instrument they desire… with their own hands.
No previous coding experience required.
Participants will make a working electric guitar out of cardboard, electronics and other recycled materials. They can select sounds from a huge library or even record and use their own voices as electric guitar notes and sounds.
Please note that your child will be able to take their guitar home without the electrical components (which can be purchased separately).
